How to Use the Text to Speech & Speech to Text Tool

Text to Speech

  1. Click the "Text to Speech" tab (open by default).
  2. Type or paste the text you want converted into speech into the text box.
  3. Pick a voice from the Voice dropdown — available voices depend on your device and browser.
  4. Adjust the Rate, Pitch, and Volume sliders to taste.
  5. Click Play to listen. Use Pause, Resume, or Stop to control playback anytime.

Speech to Text

  1. Switch to the "Speech to Text" tab.
  2. Choose your spoken language from the dropdown.
  3. Click Start Listening and allow microphone access when your browser asks.
  4. Start speaking — your words will appear in the text box in real time.
  5. Click Start Listening again (it becomes "Stop Listening") to finish.
